This is an inter-disciplinary, multi-media, collaborative arts project slated for creation in 2001. Supported by the India Foundation for the Arts (IFA) through funding from the Sir Ratan Tata Trust, "Postcards" will bring together poetry, music, movement and image in an exciting and imaginative mix. Collaborators in the project include the Mumbai based poetess and visual artist Imtiaz Dharker, dancer and choreographer Daksha Sheth, staging and musical director Devissaro, and musicians Dhevdhas Nair and John Varkey.

Based on and inspired by Imtiaz Dharker's book of poems, "Postcards from god", the proposed performance work will have blurred boundaries, not readily falling into the norms of a dance performance, a play or a poetry recit-ation; neither will it be a music show nor even a "musical", yet it will combine elements of all of these in a powerful and evocative performance spectacle of approx-imately one-hour duration.
